Bios

Scott Verges, Board Member

Scott Verges is one of the leading California real estate developers and attorneys.  Scott acquired his first real estate development project while earning his JD at the University of California, Berkeley’s Boalt Hall.  Scott practiced real estate law for 18 years representing many of the largest real estate owners and developers in the country.  From 1999 - 2005, Scott was President and CEO (and subsequently Trustee) of Burnham Pacific Properties, a New York Stock Exchange company which was the owner of over 104 shopping centers in the Western U.S.  Scott has also published two books (University of California Press) and numerous articles on a variety of real estate subjects, including real estate finance and real estate acquisitions.  He is a member of many real estate associations and the former editor of the California Real Property Journal.

Scott is active in civic matters and serves on the Board of Directors of the Alameda County Health Foundation, the Board of Trustees of the Head-Royce School, the Board of the Lake Arrowhead Film Festival, and in various other volunteer capacities with The Head-Royce School.  Scott is also an adjunct professor of Real Estate and Business Law in the MBA program at Mills College and is the General Counsel of TMG Partners, a San Francisco real estate development company.

Scott has also produced an award winning feature film, “A Small Domain” and is currently working with several film-makers to produce a new documentary and a new feature film.
