Rectilinear Panorama : Plan de Jupiter, Italy
View of Plan de Jupiter site near the top of the Grand St. Bernard Pass. The bronze statue to Saint Bernard, erected in 1905, is on the far left. Foundation stones from the Roman temple to Jupiter are below the statue to the right. Prior to the Romans, the Celts had a standing stone at this site, likely where the Saint Bernard statue is today. The modern road down to Aosta, Italy can be seen on the right hand side of the panorama.
